As a foodie I love an aroma of flavours and foods across all cultures, I heard about a new place that opened just a few months ago, I decided to treat hubby and take us out for some lunch on Saturday, here’s my experience:
I met with Rickan and Veronica Naidoo the owners of The Curry Boss, an awesome couple who are so passionate about food, chatting to them about there journey and was interesting to know the started the concept in joburg of the bunny in a box!
This unique box is handed over to you when you purchase a take away bunny, the flap opens up and this allows a clean no mess no fuss meal.
The most delicious bowl of veg and meat samosas arrived at our table courtesy of the owners, hubby sampled the meat and I the potatoe samosas, it was crispy, spicy just how I like it, was full of filling on the inside, this doesn’t happen often where the filling or portion is generous, this was already a great start to what was coming.
Hubby could not stop smiling when his mutton bunny arrived, the moment of truth was in the taste, and it certainly wins hands down compared to many other take away and Indian restaurants, I don’t eat meat so I couldnt think of anyone better to rate this than my hubby who loves Indian cuisine.
Ah then the long awaited moment was the veg breyani I ordered with a Coke, not everyone can get a Beryani dish perfect, I was in foodie heaven, the dhal and breyani where perfect, from the delish thai rice used, to the beans and potatoes, this is any vegetarians dream!
The meal was affordable I would definitely return for some more!
There’s something for everyone with an awesome menu, I was told Rickan makes the best sorjie in town, will be back to try it and keep you posted.
A veg Breyani will cost you R50 and a lamb bunny R65, well worth it.
The Curry Boss is on Facebook like there page and take a drive out to Bryanston it’s well worth it! They also deliver and use the zapper app for payement.
