The perfect way to rest assured you can eat plenty of this and it’s guilt free!
Desserts are loaded with sugar, at least when you making your own you know what’s going into it, without all the preserves and high sugars.
Today I am sharing my version of a Middle Eastern Falooda Recipie that’s simple and easy to make, here’s how:
1/2 teaspoon of Agar Agar.(this is a natural gelatine free substitute safe for vegans).
1 tablespoon of Xylitol
1/4 teaspoon of ground elachi
6 small cups of full cream milk
Handful of fresh coconut
1/2 teaspoon of rose syrup. (Available at any Indian spice shop)
Bring your milk to a boil, ensure the heat is on a medium setting as not to scorch the milk.
Add your Agar Agar powder, rose syrup and elachi, xylitol.
Allow the mixture to bubble slightly, then add your mixture to glass cups for serving, allow to cool, then add the coconut.
Ensure the coconut is only added once you see a slight film or setting of the Falooda before adding.
Ensure to refrigerate for an hour or to and serve. It’s optional to add slivered almonds.
